BIO-TAKE  bait approach

We make our bait as extension of Nature. Bait is formulated around 4 major seasons or better put, water temperatures. Carp have different nutritional needs, digestion properties and taste preferences  in different water temperatures. Our bait is designed to match their needs and provide complete food source in every season. So even if the spring and fall water temperatures are similar the nutritional profile is different. Unlike 50 different names of average unbalanced baits we offer max 2 close matched nutritional profiles optimal for every season. Bait range for the same season offers different main protein source (attractors) options (Predigest FM, Krill, Tuna, Squid, GLM, Tigernut…), and spice combinations that go hand in hand with digestion and taste. We use almost all of them in different ratios for every bait we make. Solubility of same season baits is similar and so is their free amino signal and complete nutritional profile.

No need to bring 5 different baits and 15 bottles from chemistry department on the bank.  Just chose the bait for proper season… The profile of the bait will bring them to you. If you are desperate for quick bite just soak the bait in matching natural AA extract. Once they try the first one… they will be back for more. It is that simple.

Our baits are fully customizable. You can choose between shapes (round, dumbell, carp cookie), diameters (14, 20, 24, 27mm) and the way they are prepared (boiled, steamed).

Using different sizes and shapes of the bait offers significant edge in making carps confident to feed and not associate the bait with danger. Nugget of wisdom… Use round baits only when throwing stick is the only option to baiting or when you are fishing 130yards+. In all other cases I’d recommend  combination with dumbbels and/or cookies. Cookies have proved to be fantastic. Beside being preferred by big carp (I use 27mm), they are very practical on steep underwater bottoms and/or rivers as they stay where you throw them. And… no big name company makes it in a shape of a cookie…

As every batch is made fresh for your order, you can twist the bait your way and we will include the extras you want. Well… as long as you are not unbalacing the nutritional profile of the bait. Because we do it just for you min order quantity is 10kg.

TAKE PASTE is in a league of its own. Solubility, nutritional value and profile along with nutrient and AA release adjusted for different water temperatures. I really don’t see a way how anyone could make it any better. It’s madness. Don’t blame me if you can’t sleep when fishing with it.

So, is that it? Well….No. All our baits are formulated to release the natural food signal quickly. To act as a beacon for carp to find, investigate and munch. This results in great number of takes. Especially when using the paste wrapped hook bait. Ok, but why is that bad? Quality, balanced and high leak bait will attract a lot of fish. Feeding chain usualy starts with small fish who give out their position by enjoying the feast. That brings bigger fish on to the baited area. Biggest carp usually don t agressivly compete for food with smaller fish thus resulting in your bait being sucked by more competitive, smaller fish. Another reason is that carp will not feed until the bait had lost all of the artificial chemical signals the bait makers are so keen on putting in. They have been caught before on strong artifical food signal emiting round baits. They avoid it until such condtitions are met. But, wait I have caught on “hookers”. Of course you did, but you don t know what you missed (could of caught).

If you are targeting big(er) fish only…then we will close the bait a bit on purpose to limit the food signal and reduce the number of your takes (we call it BB), but the fish WILL be bigger. Easy way around this is to use bigger baits to begin with (24,27mm).

Our baits have proved to be amazing but make no mistake, location of the fish is by far the most important success factor. If you are fishing in the wrong place (no fish passing through), you could be fishing with “million dollar” boilie and catch nothing. As Darko (Zupanic, 2013: 161) says it, “Duck s shit will catch as much as the best boilie in the world”.

While eating, carp can’t tell immediatelly wheather bait is full of proteins or fats or carbs. They just determine wheather it is eatable or not. But rather quickly (after digestion in progress and/or complete) fish know wheather the “bait” is good food source or not. They are rather sharp in memorizing where the menu was good.  “Crap” or low quality bait will be consumed less and less if fed regularly because it just isn’t good enough. It’s realtively easy to catch carp with virtually any bait,  but catching the big fish as often and regular as catching their offspring. Well…if you read a thing or two by  now…You know why.

BIO-TAKE bait provides

  1. Long term CARP HEALTH
  2. Fast DETECTION underwater
  3. BALANCED LONG TERM FOOD SOURCE
  4. FULLFILING ALL OF CARP NUTRITIONAL NEEDS
  5. NO PRESERVATIVES, FLAVORS, ARTIFICIAL SWEETNERS
  6. USER FRIENDLY APPLICATION

General facts

1. Put the bait where fish are able to find it… If you can t find the fish first.

2. Natural products will always be  better than artificial substitutes

3. What you can smell has nothing to do with carp bait detection

4. Complete nutritional profile of the bait is why they come back for more

5. Be audacious anough to experiment. Different sizes, shapes and main atractor sources.

6. Bigger fish require less proteins. Big mirrors prefer high carb bait.

7. Always use heat treated (toasted) natural grain flours.

8. Artificial aromas/flavours will do you (and carp) more harm than good.

9.  Softer bait will always outcatch harder bait (same bait).

10. Use small baits in winter and bigger in Summer and Autumn.

Spring

Water temparature 10-17C

Spring requires probably the highest quality bait out of all seasons. Carps require high protein content from absolutely premium sources as their tissue needs to repair the tissue and replenish the nutrients that have been lost during winter time. In relatively short time, carps strive to be in the best possible shape for spawning and their body needs absolutely everything the nature has to offer. They are not particulary picky in this time of year as they need loads of energy, but offering them optimal nutrition will have them preferring our bait over other offerings. Why? Because their bodies tell them to do so. To support their needs we elevate the level of proteins, healthy fats (Omega 3, 6) vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and add B carotene to support spawning glans. Fish digestion is still pretty slow and requires extreemly digestible bait, sustained energy release and cold water soluble (hydrolysed) liquids…

Summer

Water temperature 17+C

Summer time fishing is pretty challenging for the fisherman as carp would spend their days wandering around close to the surface  feeding on insects … high in water column. In low oxigen conditions, they even gasp for O2 by breaking the water surface. In order to catch them you either fish the zigs or wait for the night time when they would usually go down to feed on proper (bigger) food. Summer time brings explosion to flora and fauna underwater. Fish have hi protein underwater food in abundance. No bait can ever mimick let alone beat natural underwater carp food. So instead of fighting the fight you can t win… Offer alternative. Alternative being the bait with hiqh quality medium protein content, lower in fibers, less soluble and packed with nuts, hemp and featuring higher level of healthy fats and carbohydrates. We designed  summer (warm water) specific balanced bait that meets carp nutrient requirements with lower protein content. We call it a Fixer.

Autumn

Water temperature 17-13C

Autumn is the carp “bulking” period before their metabolism slows down in cold water. As fish are strong in preparation for winter, takes are frequent and powerful. Carp are in their heaviest and strongest form this year. Different venues and water surfaces (lakes/rivers) predetermine carps needs and preferences. Standing water fish require less fat.

Autumn should be the peak of your fishing season. Air and water temperatures are moderate, water oxigen level high and natural food is becoming harder to find. Nutrition wise Autumn is extension of summer. Baits need to be balanced, high in nutrition value and easy to digest. As water temperature begins to drop, baits with proven spice blends really are in league of their own. Add a paste to your hook bait and….well…enjoy the runs. In autumn it is not unusual if 2x20mm baits with huge paste addtion are swallowed by 3kg carp. They want it in Autumn… and they want it bad.

Our balanced baits are similar to summer ones but contain stronger spice blends and solubles levels. Basemixes are original Achilles and Fixer. Just add AUTUMN in order remarks.

Winter

Water temperature 12C and below

In cold water carp require less (very little) food as digestion is very slow or completely paused. Name of the game in winter fishing is attraction and digestibility. In order to supply the carp with bait they will gladly eat and be able to digest, we designed the “Virgin”. As the name sugest bait  is gentle, “dressed modestly” and loyal. Bait is extreemly digestible, soluble, soft and sweet with low protein and fat content. It is based on human food grade baby milk replacer, wheatgerm, special plant/grain flours, birdfoods, seeds and hydrolysed milk/animal protein sources. Essential oils, cold water soluble liquids and oils rounded with very special spice blend, make it one of a kind. Virgin baits have the most coarse structure possible, to aid digestion, enable cold water AA release and crunch effect. Make no mistake, Virgin is premium bait and nutritional masterpiece.

We recommend using 14mm baits with thin paste coat.

Avilable in paste, all standard diameters, shapes, and ways of preparing.
